The Great WitchFoot Project

What are the three P's of personal responsibility?! Who's Carol P. Christ? How do we stop  dramatic stalemates and fucking do something good around here? We're so excited to have you - welcome to the WitchFoot perspective.

Show Notes:

  • To pull your own birth chart we recommend Cafe Astrology or Astro Charts. There are  many others out there, find one you love!
  • Owen Wilson's Saturday Night Live Monologue (YouTube: quote from 1:44 - 2:27)
  • Information is inherently neutral (more on that next episode!)
  • Caroline Myss and the lectures where we encountered the concept of "energy leaks"
  • Diving Deep and Surfacing: Women Writers on Spiritual Quest by Carol P. Christ. We read the 1986 edition which contains a foreword that describes many of her techniques in bringing these types of ideas to groups of women. We highly recommend any edition you can find!

Stories that shed light on the vast array of beauty and suffering on earth and allow the shadows to be given space and language. Stories that name women and their complex, beautiful, painful lives so that the patriarchy can't define it for us.
    • Nothingness and naming help to illuminate topics close to our hearts like, why horror can be good for everyone (kids too!) - There is a way that horror addresses power dynamics, feelings of alienation and fear and lots of complex societal ills that has made loyal fans out of both of us. More horror in episode 4!
    • Carol has a PhD from Yale! She's an absolute incarnation of the goddess and this obituary on her is a gift. Also, check out that website (blog and main site)! Looks like it's kept up by some incredible humans.
  • We mentioned historic gridlock (from the perspective of American politics), the Bush v. Gore election and a sense that the powers that be have l
